After selling Japanese "new old stock" fountain pens for many years I have come down to the last one. Click on any image to see a larger one. Item PMR 020523: Pilot MR (M-350SS) with fine nib This pen was produced in February 1979. Comes with its original price sticker. The new old stock Pilot fine nib Murex pen (Item PMR 020523) is $350.00 USD Shipping is free because it is too difficult to calculate in advance due to rules which vary from country to country. How to order: Send an e-mail to japanpencollector@gmail.com to inquire about the pen's availability and price. Shipping is free, but the method will vary according to your location. If you mail me during the weekend I may not read it until Monday; thanks for your patience. Some notes: If you don't like a pen you bought, please don't ask for a refund or ask us to pay for return shipping. I am a pen collector and not a business, and would rather not deal with difficult people. Regarding scratches on stainless steel pens, there is probably not a Trident or a MYU or Murex that does not have at least some light scratches, not even pens that had been sealed in their original sleeves in perfect mint condition. Some scratches are inevitable because the steel clutch spring inside the cap comes in contact with the body. The brushed steel is by definition a network of tiny "scratches" so this ought not to be an issue. These pens were made to take scratches with grace. As you use the pen, new scratches will inevitably come and will blend in with the finish in time. This process of "polishing by use" will make the pen more shiny. If you are the type of person who demands a flawless pen, and cannot stand scratches and are likely to complain about them, please do not buy a MYU or Murex -- or any older Japanese pen for that matter since they all have that steel clutch spring inside the cap. It will only cause problems for you and the seller. By the way, that steel clutch spring inside the cap is also held in by friction, and can pop out. If that happens just put it back in as far as you like. Back in the 1980's when Trident, MYU and Murex pens were available in pen shops in Japan, they did not come in their own special boxes. We will wrap these pens in bubble wrap and pack them in sturdy three-sided boxes of corrugated board, with no accompanying note because the local post office discourages combining documents and items. We cannot send ink cartridges because they contain liquid. |
