Comments: Hey Russ got an instagram?
Admin reply: Yes, but I rarely post photos, and when I do, it's about the school for the enjoyment of my students. Anybody else would find it uninteresting.

Comments: Hi again. Arigato for approving so fast. My comment remained intact! My father was from Zug (being a village in 1923). His parents took him and his elder bro to live in Kobe that same year till 1931 and then they returned to. ch - He migrated over .ar in 1945. I will go on in private mode with more info.
Admin reply: What is ZUG, .ch and .ar? This is a confusing message.

Comments: Hi, Russ-san & family, I knew of you thanks to a Catholic website from Spain, "Religion en Libertad" where they also add conversion stories. There's a RC priest from US serving in Japan who belongs to the Franciscan Order. I will give more details in private after receiving your reply. On another note, I've just learned that your ancestors migrated from .ch! My father was from Zug and he lived in Kobe whe n he was a child. His sis was born there! Anyway, I'd like to go on but I'll wait till next contact. I'm not using my e-mail but my cel phone enables me to do this. Domo arigato & sayonara. PS: my last name also ends in -er) Aus Wiedersehn!
Admin reply: Hello, I'm typing this on my phone also in a hotel room in Nagoya. Some of your message didn't survive, such as the place where our ancestors came from. I look forward to hearing more.

Admin reply: Thanks for your message. I'm glad my Kirishitan article proved useful to you! As for the general state of the Christian Churches in Japan, I am of course familiar with the situation at my local Church which is usually packed with people and has its own facilities, but I have no knowledge of the larger picture -- outside what info is available on the web. I don't think things have changed as far as percentage of Japanese population for many decades! I hope I'm wrong.
