Black colored pencil and watercolor

This page reveals my flirtation with pencil sketching. I think I would have more success in my sketches if I switched to pencil, but I have some strange emotional attachment to ink. Maybe I should just keep both at hand and choose between them each time.

I began these sketches in the park with a water resistant Berol Eagle black colored pencil and then added watercolor on top. The crisp dry nature of the pencil strokes provides a nice contrast with wet smooth watercolor washes.
