Just wash

The first sketch was done in the usual way with ink and watercolor. Then I tried sketching just in watercolor. In this case, sumi ink with a yatate. I was able to sketch the entire man reading a newspaper in a few seconds using this method. The bottom sketch of a mountain in Gunma prefecture was done with all watercolors.
