Wow! Just read your sketchbook book and loved it. I discovered water brushes a decade ago and love them. I had experimented with sumi-e at various points in my life and loved it, but water brushes and brush * * * were so much more convenient.
I mostly used Rapidographs till i found Pigma Microns more cost effective since I killed them by neglect. Pen and watercolor's becoming one of my favorite styles. Last May, I bought a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen after reading about it on James Gurney's blog.
That pen has been hard to master but the longer I use it, the more confidence I get in thick and thin line sketching. Your sketches and articles are a lot of help to me with it. I've used brush * * * like the Pitt Artist * * * and Tombow dual tips for over a decade but this is exponentially different.
Thanks for that bit about dealing with hook tips too. I used to get those on regular sable watercolor brushes and they always annoyed me.

Admin reply: I'm glad you found the articles useful. I originally thought I'd write the book and get it published and make money, but in the end I just put it up on the web where people could read it for free -- and where I could update it as often as necessary. I think that was the best idea.
